The promotion-chasing Under 16s were lucky enough to enjoy a real continental-style coaching session with the legendary ex-Hibee Guillaume 'Boozy' Beuzelin. The maestro introduced a number of new routines which were appreciated by the boys and by the regular coaches who were able to take a back seat for a change. We’re all grateful for the trouble taken by Boozy to put together a great session which was enjoyed by all who took part and those who watched from the touchline. We wish him every success in his new coaching career, which is bound to be a great success if his ACO session is anything to go by. News Update: The photo from our training session (thanks to Duncan Millar) has made it onto the Youth Football Scotland website The Boozy pass-and-move tactics were there for all the ACO travelling support to see at Sunday’s match at Loanhead (25/03/12). ACO cruised into a 5-0 half-time lead courtesy of some incisive passing to our speedy forwards which was followed up by some lethal finishing. The extreme heat (20 degrees in March – last year we were three feet in snow at this time) caught up with the boys in the second half but there was still enough time for top scorer Callum to complete his well-deserved hat-trick. I know it’s tempting fate, but a quick look at the Players page on our website shows that we have now rattled in 92 goals for the season. Will we reach the big 100……….? |
